Despite considerable currency fluctuations and steep increases in the cost of raw materials,
Kärcher, the family-owned cleaning equipment company, succeeded once again in growing
profitably at an above-average rate, creating new jobs and gaining further market shares all over the world in 2007. The world’s largest cleaning equipment manufacturer registered a turnover of more than 1.38 billion euros, its highest ever, and also achieved record unit sales of more than 6.25 million. The company is pleased about the even spread of its success over almost all countries and product groups. Innovation was once again the most significant growth factor for the company: In the past year, 139 new products were successfully launched, including 22 garden pumps, which opened up a completely new business segment.
Kärcher once more lived up to its reputation of accepting social responsibility in 2007.
The company, which focuses on sustainable economic management, supported charities, social and cultural amenities in many countries, was involved in environmental protection and helped preserve important monuments with its own technology.
